French torpedo boats 1st class disappointing during race according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1896-1897 no. 8

An item referred to the Mittheilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens reporting that during a race between 5 torpedo boats 1st class of the French Mediterranean squadron just one boat, the Flibustier, was able to achieve as peed of 21,5 miles. The other four had a maximum of no more as 20 miles.
