Italian pre dreadnought battleship Regina Elina performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 No. 11


An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reporting that the contracted speed of the Italian battleship Regina Elina was first 22 miles.(1) When as a result of an altered design her displacement increased, was the contracted speed 21,5 miles. At a trial with 75% of full horsepower achieved she with 15.473 ihp a speed of 20,33 miles, with the full speed trial with 23.000 ihp was the maximum speed 21,7 miles. Economical speed 19 miles. The Roma and the Napoli were still to achieve a speed of 22 miles.
