White at Cowes, England building Spanish torpedo boats according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1892-1893 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Engineering reporting that the first of the wood-built torpedo boats built by John Samuel White, East Cowes, England for account of the Spanish government executed the last trial. Dimensions 20 x 3 metres and to be armed with Whitehead torpedoes and machineguns. Medium speed achieved during the trial was 18,35 miles almost one mile above the contracted speed.
