An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated September 1925 reporting that Poland seemed to have bought the since 1922 at French shipyards being built 12 submarines of the Ariane-class with a displacement of 600 (surfaced)-770 (submerged) tons.(1)

1. The so-called French 600 Series submarines built for the French navy totally numbering 28 between 1923-1933 and of which the Ariane-class was a subclass. The displacement depending when the submarines were built varied between the 609/651 (surfaced)-757-822 (submerged) tons. The Ariane-class ordered in 1923 numbered 4 units just like the Sirère-class ordered in 1925 and the Circé-class ordered in 1923.
