British aircraft carrier HMS Argus fitted out with new aircraft according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1939 no. 10

An item referred to the magazine U.S.R. dated 3 August 1939 reported that 14.000 tons aircraft mother ship HMS Argus was to be fitted out with 350 hp Queen Wasp aircraft which could be wireless controlled. The Queen Wasps were much faster as the Queen Bees.(1)

Laid down by William Beardmore, Dalmuir, Scotland with yard number 510 in 1914, acquired in September 1916, launched on 2 December 1917, commissioned on 16 September 1918, decommissioned around 1929, recommissioned on 30 July 1938, accommodation ship since December 1944 and sold to be broken up on 5 December 1946.
