An item referred to the magazine le Yacht dated 16 August reporting that the American admiralty studied the designs for the new battleships which were to be sent to the Congress for approval.(1) The design speed was 25 miles with an armament of 4x3-38,1cm guns which arrangement was similar to the USS Pennsylvania.
