An item reported that the Spanish gunboat Quiros built by Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Co. executed her trials achieving during the four times 2 nautical miles distance a speed of 12 knots with 480 ihp. Coal consumption was 4,4 tons in 24 hours with a speed of 9,25 knots. Coal bunker capacity 75 tons allowing a range of 3.775 nautical miles. Sail area 278 square metres.(1)
