An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated June 1938 reporting that the Japanese sea plane tender Mizuho was launched on 16 May 1938. With a displacement of 9.000 tons and as dimensions 176 x 18,1 x 5,8 metres, a speed of 17 knots and an armament of 6-12,7cm anti aircraft guns.91)
