An item reported that the American submarine G3 of the Lake type performed her trials in July. The diesel engines with a total horsepower of 1.200 hp were manufactured by Sulzer, Switzerland and allowing a maximum surfaced speed of 14,7 miles. Maximum range with a speed of 11 miles while surfaced was 5.500 miles. The maximum submerged speed was 10,7 miles. Building costs 450.000 US dollars. At that moment were 9 Lake type submarines being built.(1)
