An item dated 3 May 1955 reported the Romanian
NAVROM (Navigatia Maritima si Fluvial Romana) motor tug Gurgiu Dej on the
Danube, harbour of Szob, Hungary towing barges loaded with grain bound for
Budapest, Hungary and empty COMOC and SSDG tankers towards Giurgiu. She was on
10 May sighted again at Budapest while towing barges upstream.
