An item reported that on 21 April 1953 tow newly built floating cranes were seen off Budapest, Hungary going downwards the Danube bound for the Soviet Union. Both 5 tons electrically operated cranes, numbered respectively VII and VIII, were built at the Ujpest shipyards located north of Budapest with as dimensions 18 x 12 metres. On 2nd |May were both cranes anchored at Liubotina [Liubvova?], Romania.
An item reported the sighting off Orsova, Romania on 16 May 1953of two similar 5 tons electrically operated cranes, numbered respectively IX and XII.
