Catch results of German Greenland seal hunters according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 18 June 1763

An item dated Hamburg, Germany 10 June reported the arrival the same day of commandeur Peter Michiels with 216 quardelen seal blubber returning from Greenland leaving on 2 June 71.5 degrees and caught his preys betwen 71-72 degrees. In May he had mostly east north east winds with the ice ourside Jan Mayen Island. He could not say anything dealing with the whalers but he brought with him a list of the results of the seal hunters: of Hamburg M. Jansen 150, Th. Zwen 120, M. Zwen 116, H. Pieters and C. Thomsen each 100, P. Tönis 90, H.H. Theunis, P. Zwen and M. Kroger each 80, J. Schröder 70, M. Michels 60, C.A. Wit 50, J.N. Steinmetz and J. Jansen each 40, C. Karstens, H.M. Jaspers and M. Hansen each 30, Th. Pieters 20 and L. Hansen each 10-of Flensburg C. Jansen 80 and M. Cornelis 10 and the Dutchmen C. Hansen 20 quardelen.
