Spain and Genoa preparing their galleys for service according to the Dutch newspaper Oprechte Haerlemsche courant dated 27 July 1684

An item dated Genoa 2nd July reported that on Tuesday don Hippolito Centurione was appointed by the Large Council as commandant general of the galleys. The Spanish galleys and the ones of the republic Genoa were still lying in the harbour but preparing for a departure on short notice.
