British battleship HMS Benbow bound for Malta according to the Secret Admiralty Weekly Intelligence Summary Nr. 29 for the week ending 23 July 1921

Iron Duke-class

An item reported that the British battleship HMS Benbow would leave Constantinople, Turkey on 6 August bound for Malta to undergo repairs.

Note

1. Part of the Iron Duke-class battleships (5x2-34.4cm/13.5” cal 45 Mk V guns), preceded by King George V-class, succeeded by Queen Elizabeth-class, ordered in 1911, laid down by William Beardmore and Company, Glasgow, Scotland on 30 May 1912, launched on 12 November 1913, commissioned on 7 October 1914, decommissioned in 1929 and sold to be broken up on 31 January 1931.
