An item dated Vaalmuyen [Falmouth?], England 2 September reported that two days earlier the Dutch privateers Koning Karel and the Faam brought in 3 homeward bound French Greenland whalers armed with respectively 16, 18 and 22 guns and good catch results captured 70 miles west of Heyzant after a fight of 2,5 hour. The Amsterdamse courant dated 15 September called the privateers Karel de Derde and Faem and that they captured 2 fluyts each armed with 18 guns and 1-22 guns frigate.
