British design of a turret ironclad by Mr. R. Dawson in 1870

The South Kensington Museum exhibited in 1889 a whole model of Mr. R. Dawson of a brig rigged ironclad with a combined turret and battery system designed by him and presented in 1870. The dimensions were to be 316 x 66 x 20 (draught) x 16 (freeboard) feet and measuring 4,000 tons.
