The Austrian navy in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 11 July 1825

Vienna, 26 June. The Austrian corvette Carolina armed en flute arrived 3 June at Trieste. In 1820-1922 made she a journey towards India and China. The 12th she departed again to join the Austrian fleet in the Levant commanded by captain Accurti to protect the Austrian trade in these waters. (1)

1. The former Italian frigate Corona of which the building started at Venice 1812, 25 April 1814 handed over to Austria while still on stocks just 33% completed and building stopped. Renamed as 44-gun frigate Adria June 1815. A sell to England wasn't successful. In 1818 started the building again while using material of the broken up corvette Carolina, launched 20 February 1819, 21 February 1819 renamed Carolina and fitted out as corvette, 1820-1822 journey towards China, 1824-1825 rebuilt, 1828-1830 part of the so-called Morocco division, 1832-1833 and 1839 rebuilt, rebuilt at Venice 1843-1848, between March 1848-August 1849 in Venetian service as Lombarda, 1850-1851 service in the North and East Sea, 1857-1858 journey towards South America and South Africa, around 1864 disarmed and unrigged and 1870 sold to be broken up; rebuilt means large repairs?
