The Belgian coastal defence according to the Dutch newspaper Sumatra Post dated 11 February 1922

According to the Belgian newspaper Nation Belge had Belgium a moral obligation to defend her sea coast as a result of the treaty with France, There fore were 4 large and 4 small torpedo boats send via the inland waters and channels from Antwerp to Brugge just like the navy detachment at Antwerp was destined for Brugge. Coast defence batteries and other defence works were to be founded along the coast line.
