British corvette Bann in problems according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 July 1823

London, 11 July. From Plymouth was 18 June reported that the ship Termagant master Dunlope arrived the day before coming from Madras. She visited 31 May Ascension and found there the corvette Bann which came back from the African coast after loosing her captain Saumarez and the main part of her crew due to the yellow fever.(1)
