The supercargo and the master of the British schooner Vixen, Bell and Childs, arrived coming from Odessa at Constantinople. The other crew members were also expected to arrive. According to letters from Constantinople were both men very pleased with their treatment by the Russian government and stated that they would be completely compensated by the same government for their losses. At Constantinople however was hardly any attention for the Vixen-affair.
