The British squadron on the Taag, Portugal according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 8 November 1824

Lisbon, 16 October. The British squadron on the Taag was joined by HMS 16-gun frigate Phaeton (1) commanded by sir Henry E. Sturt. She arrived after a voyage of 4 days from Gibraltar bringing with her 11 Spanish refugees from Gibraltar. The squadron was also strengthened by the HMS 78-gun Superb (2) commanded by Sir Thomas Staines.

Notes
1. The 5th rate, launched at Smallshaw, Liverpool, England 12 June 1782, sold but retained 1827, definitely sold 1828, dimensions 141' x 39' x and a 944 tons builders measurement, armed with 38 guns?
2. 3rd rate, launched at the shipyard of Pitcher, Northfleet on 19 March 1798, broken up in 1826 with as dimensions 182' x 49', a 1919 tons builders measurement and armed with 74 guns.
