Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands, 8 October. Around 16.00 o’clock stranded 2 hours north of the village the Danish schooner brig Frau Christine master H.C. Kock underway from Stralsund towards Poole with a cargo of corn. Lifeboats from Wijk aan Zee and Egmond went out to rescue to save the crew despite the severe weather. Finally was the lifeboat of Wijk aan Zee being the best boat sent out again with a fresh crew. On board went the pilots of Egmond J. Wijker, J. Schol, A. Wijker, C. Wijker, G. Crag en K. Zwart Pz who managed the rescue the Danish crew of 6 men. Ship and cargo however were lost.
