The Hague, 4 September. Yesterday was at the navy yard at Amsterdam with success the frigate Zr. Ms. Lek launched and the keel laid down of a frigate of the new design armed with 38 guns of heavy calibre.(1)

1. On stocks 1832 as the frigate 2nd class Lek and launched as the Prins Alexander der Nederlanden according to Vermeulen but according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant still called Lek. In 1868 handed over to the Indian Military Navy and in 1871-1874 guard ship at Batavia, Dutch East Indies. Not longer mentioned on the navy list dated 1 January 1875. Armed with 44 guns. Displacement 1.460 tons.
