The Egyptian and Greek navies and Turkish transports in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 21 July 1825

Augsburg, 14 July. The newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung published a news item dated Trieste, 7 July. According to tidings from Zante dated 17 June departed the Egyptian fleet towards Candia to transport a new division of 5.000 Egyptian troops to Morea.

Napoli-di-Romania, 8 June. The provisional government of Greece announced that since several merchant ships from different countries were seized by the Greek navy and send to Greek harbours while they were loaded with victuals and war stores for the Turkish they appointed at Napoli a commission of five men to serve as a prize or sea council. Their task was to investigate merchant ships send by the Greek navy to this harbour and pass a legitimate sentence depended on the available situation and information and to inform the minister of justice what they decided. The members of the commission were Dionysius Xenix, Orphanos, Prassakakis, Steko... and Maximos (their names were hardly readable due to a misprinted newspaper).
