A telegram reported that the 74-gun ship of the line le Jean Bart captain Touflet arrived 17 September at Brest coming from the Antilles with a large convoy of merchant ships.The corvette la Diana, goelettes l’Iris and la Créole and the fluyt l’Infatigable under supreme command of captain Clemondet arrived 15 September at Lorient coming from Senegal where they left 19 July escorting 7 merchant ships, 2 coming from the Indian waters the other from Senegal.
