French rear admiral Hamelin discharged of his post off Cadiz according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 10 September 1823

Paris, 6 September. Rear admiral Hamelin was forced by a heavy disease caused by serious tiredness to leave his post off Cadiz. Rear admiral baron Duperré replaced him. The latter departed yesterday to Brest where the frigate l’Hermione was waiting for him. Rear admiral baron des Rotours was temporarily commanding the blockade squadron off Cadiz with the le Centaure as his flagship.
