Bayonne, 11 May. Yesterday arrived around twenty Spanish prisoners of war belonging to the crew of a Spanish brig captured by a French corvette. The brig left the harbour of Coruna towards Ijon with guns and other war stores for the Constitutional party. The prize arrived two days ago in the harbour del Passage near San Sebastian. Among the prisoners were two officers of which according to rumours one of them was a supreme officer of the Spanish Constitutional navy.
The brig L'Euryale (1) captain Baroche arrived 5 May off Cape Pennas two Spanish ships, the first loaded with coal and the second with 5.280 rifles with bayonets. Both ships had left Girona towards La Coruna and Ferrol. Both ships were released and handed over to the commissary of navy except for the passengers with military appointments from the Constitutional party, which were considered by the French government as prisoners of war.
