Sardinian transports for Don Carlos according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 10 July 1837

According to several sources were at the moment in ports of the Sardinian Kingdom and particularly at Genoa steamboats and small warships fitted out to transport war stores destined for Don Carlos towards the coast of Catalonia and Valencia. Also at Livorno, Tuscany was a steamboat fitted out for the same purpose. British and French warships were cruising off the Catalonian coast and which partly sailed to the Sardinian ports tried to prevent the arrival of these transports at their destination. According to some French newspapers dated 7 July were 3 Sardinian transports although escorted by a Sardinian corvette forced to return by the French brig le Rusé. One ship was even wrecked on the beach.
