Turkish warships burned in the arsenal at Constantinople, Turkey according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 14 August 1823

Odessa, 22 July. The Triton arrived from Constantinople with the tiding that 13 July the suburb Rostini and the surroundings of the arsenal were set into fire. Despite to all efforts to extinguish the fire the damage was immense also caused by the fact that 17 times burning torches were thrown to keep the fire going on. One 72-gun ship of the line on stocks, 2 corvettes, 5 brigs and 110 vessels of several sizes were burned.
