The building of the Dutch merchant ships Koning der Nederlanden, Onderneming and Het Verbond at Dordrecht, Netherlands according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 January 1827

Dordrecht, 30 December 1826. Recently and during last week laid down shipbuilder Jan Schouten for his own account the keels of the merchant ship Koning der Nederlanden with a measurement of over 1100 Dutch tons by the mayor of Dordrecht, the galliot Onderneming and the kof Het Verbond van 1572. The first nail in the latter ship was nailed down by A.R. Visser son of inspector general of government of finances L. Visser and the nails in the other ships by the sons of the shipbuilder.
