Movements of French warships in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 19 July 1827

Paris, 15 July. From Toulon arrived the tiding dated 8 July that the gabare Volkaan (1), commanded by lieutenant de Laplace, arrived coming from Rona, which town was left 20th June. On board were 28 French passengers, men and female, including the family of the French representative at Bona. During the voyage was the Kings ship l’Etincelle (2) met, wich two days earlier left from Bona, while conveying 142 vessels of the coral-fishery.

1. Vichot called her le Vulcain, launched 1828, until 1851 a bomb, became a pontoon depot 1865, sold 1875.
2. Vichot called her a balancelle captured in 1823 from Spain and last mentioned 1836.
