USS AP Joint Venture (IX 532) 1998

Ex-Incat 050, ex-TopCat, ex-DevilCat and ex-HSV-X1. The IX 532 was a chartered fast passenger ship and vehicle ferry (AP) with a catamaran hull laid down at the yard of Incat, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia on 19 January 1998, launched on 7 November of the same yeard and commissioned 14 days later. With a displacement of 940 (light)-1,668 (full load) tons were her dimensions 86,00 (hull)-96,00 x 26,00 x 3,96 (maximum) metres. She is unarmed.

The four Caterpillar diesels and 4 Lips 50D waterjets supplied 30,000 bhp by 1,030 rpm allowing a speed of 37,5 (full load)-50 (light load) knots. Being fully loaded she had a range of 1,100 nautical miles by a speed of 35 knots. Her crew numbered 30 men. On 25 July 2001 chartered the army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) her for trials.
