Zierikzee, 5 May. At the town yard will be tomorrow the keel laid down by shipbuilder C. Smit of the bark ship Eendragt maakt Magt of around 400 java lasten on behalf of the company de Jonge & Keller and destined for the Dutch East Indies trade shipping. The edition dated 27 October 1849 published a tiding dated Zierikzee 26 October according to which she was to be launched on Thursday 1 November at from the Commercie yard. The tiding dated Zierikzee 2 November (edition 3 November) confirmed the tiding but said she was built at the yard of C. Smit by shipbuilder C. Mak and measured 450 Java lasten. Her master was L.P. Andersson. Another Dutch newspaper the Goessche Courant dated 5 November spoke about the town Commercie yard and shipbuilder C. Maks. A large number of interested sighted the launching of this bark ship of more as 450 Java lasten.(1)

According to a tiding dated Zierikzee 11 March published in the Zierikzeesche Courant dated Wednesday 13 March 1850 was she the same day towed by the steamboat Brouwershaven towards Antwerp to load there a cargo destined for Valparaiso . According to the edition dated 13 April left she Flushing towards Valparaiso and Callao . Seven days later reported the newspaper that she struck in the morning of the 13th the Goodwin sand but towed los by a steamboat and sailed towards Downs without leaking. She continued her voyage on the 15th.
