Building of the Dutch merchant ships Johanna Frederika and Albert at Delfshaven, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Schiedamsche Courant dated Thursday 17 September 1857

Last Saturday was at the yard het Vertrouwen of Gebr. Van de Wetering the Delfshaven the clipper brig ship Johanna Frederika of 140 lasten launched on behalf of book-keeper A. Houtman and with C.J. Evera as master.(1) For the same company was directly afterwards the keel laid down of the bark ship Albert of 300 measured lasten.

1. The edition dated Monday 16 February 1857 mentioned her keel laid down in the next item. Schiedam, 14 February. Last Thursday was at the yard het Vertrouwen of the shipbuilders Gebr. Van de Wetering at Schoonderloo the keel laid down of a clipper brig ship Johanna Frederika of 130 on behalf of the company with as director A. Houtman of Delfshaven and her master was to be S. Everts.
