Inland vessels built at a private yard owned by the family Meijer at Zaltbommel, Netherlands according to a local newspaper in 1896

In the local newspaper called the Tielsche Courant are some news items published dealing with the building and repairing of ships at the yard of the family Meijer at Zaltbommel.
3 March, in the morning of 29 February was with success the iron Rhine ship Karl Wilhelm with a measurement of 350 tons launched. The owner, Reibel of Heilbron near Heidelberg, celebrated the same evening this happening with the personnel of the yard.
14 June, 12 June was the iron aakschip Waalstroom launched; owner was J.M. Peereboom of Herewaarden.
7 August, 4 August was the iron klipper sail ship Drie Gebroeders with a measurement of around 150 last launched, owner Landuijt of Boom.
29 September, Saturday 25 September was the iron klipper sail ship Zeeland with a measurement of circa 80 tons launched. Owner was master Vermeulen. Two iron lighters were set on stocks on behalf of Van Vuuren of Zaltbommel.
