Japanese naval shipbuilding program still secret according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated 16 April 1936

The newspaper Daily Telegraph reported that apparently Japan neglected the decisions the decisions made during the naval conference at Japan after her representatives the conference. The building of the Japanese warships was still continued in the greatest secrecy. Although England, France and the United States informed each other dealing with their naval plans supplied Japan even not ordinary tidings to her parliament. The parliament was just informed to which category the ships including their tonnage belonged. The press wasn’t also not informed.
