The launching of the Dutch merchant bark ship Catharina Maria at Zierikzee according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Tuesday 25 March 1856

On 22 March was at the yard of C. Smit at Zierikzee by shipbuilder C. Mak with success the bark ship Catharina Maria with a measurement of 395 lasten launched on behalf of the company M.C. de Crane&Zoon of Zierikzee with as master J.A. Ballot. Immediately afterwards was for the same company the keel laid down of another bark ship and for the company of J.J. Keller the keel laid down of a kof ship. Another Dutch newspaper the Zierikzeesche Courant dated 26 March confirmed the launching in the afternoon and the keels laid down.
