In a tiding dated Berlin 9 April was the death of the former Russian admiral Behrens reported.(1) After the revolution was he in Soviet service and as expert present at the peace negotiations at Brest-Litofsk. Later he was appointed as chief of the naval staff and one of the most leading experts in the topic naval policy and strategy. He as also present at the negotiations at Genève, Lausanne and Rome in 1924 and of the previous meeting of the disarmament commission.

1. Yevgeny Andreyevich Berens or Behrens (Tiflis 11 November/OS 30 October 1876-Moscow 7 April 1928). Since 1920 was he diplomatic and represented the Soviet Union as head of the delegation during major conferences and appointed as military attaché for the United Kingdom and France since 1924.
