This Dutch magazine published all kind of information (for instance political and economical) dealing with was going within Europe . So it becomes possible to get an impression of what was common known within a country of what was going on in their own country and other European countries in their own time. In August 1730 was a list published of the fleet which left the Bay of Cadiz towards Carthagena [Colombia?] on 26 June commanded by rear admiral Don Manoël Lopes Pintado. The following ships were part of that fleet, their original name and that’s of their captains and maestres got a Dutch spelling, but is mostly still recognizable.
