Swedish East Company had exclusive rights on import Asian stores according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 16 December 1777

According to an item dated Stockholm 24 November was in the patent given to the Swedish East India Company set that only the company was allowed with her ships to import stores from the East Indies. The city Marstrand now a freeport granted by the Porte Franco rights claimed to be excluded from that regulation but he crown made clear that this wasn’t the truth.
