The Algerian and Greek navies in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 20 February 1823

According to a letter dated Algiers, 29 December [1822] was the arrival of a Greek price a so-called polakker reason for a large joy. The sea castle fires 9 salute shots to announce this prize. However when she was visited she found to be complete empty while being sent to Oran for a cargo of grain.
