The Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1894-1895 no. 4 reported that this twin screw torpedo cruiser was launched on 28 December 1893 at the shipyard of Laird Brothers/ With a displacement of 1.183 ton were her dimensions 250’x 30 x 16’. The two triple expansion engines supplied 1.250 ihp. The four so-called locomotive boilers worked with a pressure of 155lbs. The steel made screws had 3 propeller blades made of manganese.
