Brazilian naval movements according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 11 February 1823

London, 7 February. The Belle Alliance coming from Brazil arrived at Guernsey with letters from Rio Janeiro dated 7 December 1822. The Portuguese ships in the harbour were seized. Two Brazilian frigates and one corvette were sent to the coast between Rio and Montevideo to escort the convoy transporting Portuguese troops back to Portugal while preventing an possible returning to Bahia.
