Although one fire ship did reach an Algerian frigate, there wasn’t a success to report because the fire extinguished. The admirals’ ship of the Greeks became unfortunately between two Turkish ships, which fired both one broadside, but fearing she was a fire ship sailed away. This is the main reason that the Turkish seldom attacked Greek ships.
