Dutch East Indiaman homeward and outward bound serving according to the Generale Missive dated 31 March 1734

The Groet and Ritthem left Sunda Strait 16 March 1734. The Castricum and Popkensburg arrived respectively 7 and 13 March 1734. The latter counted until the arrival at Cape of Good Hope 79 sick and 33 dead men. Her crew was enforced at the Cape with 30 sailors, 11 soldiers and 5 craftsmen. There was news that the Blijdorp was stranded 8 August near Cape of Good Hope. The Haften arrived at the same destination with 55 sick and 16 or 17 dead.
