The French bomb galliot la Sainte Lucile in the Mediterranean. Tidings in the official Dutch government newspaper the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 7 November 1821

The Nederlandsche Staatscourant published 7 November 1821 the following small item dealing with the French navy. Paris, 31 October. The bomb galliot la Sainte Lucile (1), commanded by captain Vérité, left 24 October Marseille, with on board 43 French, Italian and German passengers. They were first destined towards Livorno en intended to visit the ancient ruins in Greece. Each of the travellers was armed with a ´snaphaan´ (sort of rifle), a carbine, a sable and some belts with pistols.
