The Greek navy and the merchant trade shipping in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 7 February 1823

Corfu, 3 January. A division of 30 Greeks vessels in cruising continuous in the Bay of Lepante.

Livorno, 21 January. According to the latest letters from the Levant were a large amount of Greek vessels cruising in the Archipelago and especially in the Dardanelles. European ships could sail without problems but all Turkish, Egyptian vessels and those of the Barbary States were captured. A considerable amount of prizes loaded with victual, war stored etc destined for Constantinople were taken.
