With the Castor, Pollux, Delfland, a vessel belonging to the inland civil captain Isaac Enko and the chialoup Nagelboom were stores transported with a total value of ƒ 5316 including 4343 lb coffee-beans, 8086 lb nutmegs, 1630 pearl-shells, and 293lb indigo. Due to bad weather circumstances the hongi voyage towards Manipa, Sawai and Hatuwe in October 1728 stopped. Three kora-kora's were stranded so the governor wasn't able to do anything against the Papuan pirates. An expedition in May towards North Ceram wasn't successful either. The Dutch East Company still possessed 4 sloepen and 2 pantjalangs, civilians owned another 14 sloepen and 26 sampans. While patrolling from Ceram for Papuan pirates two vessels were seized, the crews however escaped. Arrows wounded two Europeans.
