Ship movements in the Mediterranean according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 October 1821

London, 9 October. An extract from a private letter coming from Livorno dated 22 September mentioned the arrival of the cutter of admiral sir G. Moore, coming from Corfu. She brought with her the news from Zante that the Greeks attacked the Turkish fleet and destroying or burning 6 transports en that the Turkish fearing the Greeks stayed in the channel of Scios. The Greeks had more than 50 ships, each with about 200 sailors.

Korfu, 2 September. Based on an extract from a letter the Greeks won a battle at sea off Mykala, near Samos 26 July.

Odessa, 14 September. Yesterday arrived some ships coming from Constantinople, which city they left 8 September.

Hamburg, 9 October. From Odessa arrived tidings that the admiralty at Nikolajew was ordered to keep all ships ready to depart for sea.
