Swedish naval movements according to the Dutch newspaper Ommelander Courant dated 8 July 1794

Copenhagen, 21 June. The Swedish squadron commanded by rear admiral count of Wachtmeister and consisting of 7 ships of the line and one frigate arrived finally in the morning two days ago. Another ship of the line and some frigates could arrive any moment coming back from the Levant. According to all tidings the squadron had just for two months of victuals on board and the crews were far from complete. The result was that at the end of coming month the squadron was forced to return to Karlskrona. Everyone one was surprised about the short time in which Sweden managed to fit out a squadron regarded that Sweden since the last war with Russia decayed. Probably the relations with that same country forced Sweden to have some ships at Karlskrona available.
